Harper Stanhope headed from her home trying to find her client. Her client was the resident anesthesiologist of the little community. It was dark and Ariana was twenty minutes late for her appointment with Harper. Harper sighed. No one expect for Juliet was late for an appointment. Harper stomped off towards Ariana’s house started to bang on the door as if she was the police. Harper waited for an answer and sighed. She was about to give up when one of the men from the community shouted to Harper, “If you are looking for Ariana, she said she had to go to the Staff Station” Harper looked at the man and rolled her eyes. She knew that they weren’t using the Staff Station anymore and there was just something wrong.
Harper quickly ran to her house to gather supplies. She was going to track Ariana because she knew that the pillar of black smoke was out their still and it would probably kill her instantly. She had to bring Ariana back to safety. Because if she was wondering towards the Staff that would be near where the survivors of that dreaded plane crash were probably lurking at. Harper had to intercept her and make sure that none of those survivors got anywhere near Ariana. Harper jumped onto her porch and quickly opened the door grabbing her shoulder bag, a flashlight, and gun. She placed them all in the bag and headed out of her house, not even shutting the door.
Harper wondered if she should tell anyone where she was going, but telling someone where she was going would probably not give her enough time to intercept Ariana. Harper marched passed the houses of their small community and headed towards the sonic fence. She went to one of the pillars and set a code that unlocked the sonic fence. She quickly looked over her shoulder to make sure no one was following her as she stepped into the jungle. She than punched in the code again and the sonic fence was now active. Harper sighed and headed towards the Staff Station.

Alex shifted the weight of her shoulder bag on her shoulder as she stepped out from between the houses, pausing as she heard some banging on a door nearby and then some yelling. With a slight frown, she brushed some of her dark brown hair out of he face as she began following where she had heard the voice, but they had stopped. Alex waited in silence for a few moments, then jumped slightly when she saw the familiar figure of Harper hurrying past. It was getting dark so it was difficult to see, but Alex couldn't help but feel curious to what Harper was up to, especially when she saw her disappear between some houses and towards the sonar fence. Alex knew she should be getting home and that if she disappeared for the night, Ben would assume she was with Karl. Still, she wanted to see what Harper was up to, heading off into the jungle at this time of night.
A moment later Alex was hurrying between the last few houses and towards the sonar fence. She stopped once she reached the pillars, seeing that Harper wasn't anywhere to be seen. Alex would assume that she had left, otherwise she would've seen Harper still around the community. She was also under the impression Harper wasn't simply going to visit someone else in the community.
Alex entered the code and waited a few moments before stepping past the pillars with no problem. She made sure to make the sonar fence active again before hurrying off into the jungle, seeing slight signs in their surroundings on the way Harper had gone. There weren't any footprints, but she could see the otherwise long grass was pressed down upon the earth showing signs that someone or something had come through here recently. Harper couldn't be that far ahead of her. Alex bit her lip, glancing back over her shoulder at the now active sonar fence before stepping into the jungle after Harper, scanning her surroundings for any sign of the older woman.
Just after she had entered the jungle, she spotted someone up ahead. She was quite far off but Alex could recognize her as Harper and wasn't sure if the older woman had heard her approach or not. "Where are you going?" Alex finally spoke up, raising her voice so Harper could hear her. She wasn't able to shake off the curious yet suspicious tone in her voice.

Harper took out her flashlight as she started to scan the jungle looking for any signs of Ariana. She had bent down to examine the ground before her looking for signs of any tracks that Ariana would have left. She had found some and went through the long grass. Harper shinned the flashlight as she made a trail through the tall grass hoping to find Ariana, but for some odd reason the trail that she was following got cold.
Harper sighed as she tried to find the trail again. She bent down and examined everything in the area where the trail had got cold. Harper shook her head as she got up from the ground and whipped the dirt off of her pants. As she whipped the dirt off of her pants she heard footsteps coming. She quickly focused her flashlight towards the point where she had heard the footsteps and shinned it as she heard a familiar voice. It was Benjamin’s daughter.
Harper sighed in relief as it was Benjamin’s daughter, Alex and no one else. Harper decided that she would tell Alex to the truth. She wasn’t going to lie to a teenager and she could careless what Ben thought if she told Alex something. Harper bit her lower lip as it started to rain. “nuts” Harper said as the rain came down. “I’m looking for Cole, and I could use your help, I lost her trail and you’re pretty good at tracking”

Alex held her hand up as Harper focused her flashlight on her. Whatever she had expected Harper to be doing, it wasn't something like this. Cole-she must be talking about that red headed woman Alex had talked to not long ago. She hasn't seen her lately and doesn't really know her anyway, but she didn't see why Ariana would go walking off and get lost in the jungle. Maybe she was after something else? She stepped forwards, wishing she had grabbed a jacket when the rain started to come down. That was the thing about this island-when it rained, it really came down. It wouldn't take long for them to both get soaked through.
"When did you last see her?" Alex asked as she dropped her gaze to the ground. Many questions whirled around her mind, but she decided to not blurt them out to Harper at this moment. She hadn't been under the impression that Harper had been following someone else. It made Alex wonder if Ariana had left awhile ago; if so, how could they be sure if they were even following her trail? Still, it wasn't as if anyone came wandering this way very often. With this rain it would make it difficult to follow any trails. It would be risky wandering off into the jungle as it is. Although the Barracks are quite far off from where the plane crashed, it couldn't be guaranteed that they wouldn't stumble across any if they wandered too far from the crash site. Alex kneeled down by the trail Harper had been going by, trying to see what trail Harper had been following, before straightening up to face Harper.
"What was she doing out here?" Alex asked, a slight tone of doubt in her voice. She couldn’t help but hope that this was no big deal and that Ariana only had to go to one of the stations for whatever reason.

Harper looked down at her wet clothes and sighed. She hated when it rained randomly on the island in the jungle. It never seemed to rain at the barracks as much as it did in the jungle. She glanced at Alex who was kneeling down looking at the trail. The rain washed away the trail. It was a fact and they would probably have to go the old fashioned way and just hope that Ariana was at the Staff station. Harper bit her lower lip as she looked at Alex’s expression. It wasn’t a good sign.
Harper knew that if they were to go any further that they would have to stay in their own territory or if they had to wonder any further that they didn’t find any of the crash survivors because Harper was just going to kill any if they got in her way. She needed for this little venture to find Ariana to go smoothly and hopeful find Ariana alive. She wasn’t going to tell Alex the real reason why she was after Ariana. The real reason she feared was that the pillar of black smoke had gotten to Ariana. It was destined to happen to Ariana no doubt, but they needed Ariana because they needed someone to admin the anesthesia for Ben for that surgery.
“Gibson said, she went to the Staff Station and that shouldn’t be right we closed that up a while ago” She paused as she glanced at Alex as she heard some noises in the distance. “I would advice you to go back to the Barracks because…” Harper trailed off as the noises grew closer, “if that noise is what I think it is your father will kill me”

Alex was silent for a moment as she looked over her options. Continue with Harper and try to find Cole and see if she was okay or if she was simply on some unknown mission for someone, or go back to the Barracks with only her father for company. Alex wasn't sure what the sound was that she heard, but she didn't want to put her life at unnecessary risks. She didn't owe anything to Harper; she hardly even spoke to the older woman. Still, even as thought over it in the few seconds that passed in silence between them, the nosies became louder.
"Run," Alex said quickly as she grabbed Harper's arm and tried ot pull her along with her as she took off through the tall grass. She wasn't sure what she was even running from but she had a good idea and didn't want to stick around to see what it was. It would have been easier to head back to the sonar fence, but they might not have time to put in the code and deactivate it and then activate it again-not to mention that it sounded like the noise was coming from the direction of the fence.
Alex let go of Harper's arm when she suddenly slipped and almost fell in the mud as she attempted to scramble into the jungle. She could hear the noises coming closer and by the sounds of it, it was coming after them. She pulled herself to her feet, glancing back to Harper to see if the woman was still with her or not. At this point Alex didn't really have an option on if she was going deeper into the jungle or back at the moment.

Harper was dragged or whatever by Alex as the noises became louder. She ran as Alex still had a grip on her hand. She wasn’t sure if that thing was following them and she didn’t want to know it was. Harper just focused on the surroundings that were in front of her and she didn’t even look back. Harper’s mind was racing as they ran. She was thinking on what to do than she realized if she was free she knew what she was going to do. She was going to shot the thing.
Harper was free from Alex and she grabbed something out of her shoulder bag and waited for that thing to come. He placed the item she took out of her bag and pointed it at the monster as it came closer. The item in her hand was a gun. She bit her lower lip and shot at it as she shot at it the monster started to back away. Harper placed the gun back in her bag and watched the monster scream away in pain. Harper sighed as she turned around and shouted, “Alex?”

Alex had stumbled off through some of the jungle, tripping over another root and almost managed to fall over. With the steadily falling rain and the darkness of the night, it was very difficult to see where she was going. Once she regained her balence, she realized Harper was no longer with her. Now Alex realized she didn't know exactly what she had been running from. She turned around, trying to look off between the trees but it was nearly impossible to see. However, through the pouring rain she could hear a gunshot, and then Harper's faint voice calling her name.
Alex climbed back up the slight bank she had nearly slipped and fallen down, finding her way back along the muddy trail she had taken. Once she reached the slight clearing where Harper had been, she stopped.
"What was it?" Alex first asked, scanning the clearing to see any signs of a fallen body from some type of animal or something. Unable to see anything, she looked back to Harper. She was still breathing steadily from the sudden run through the jungle and she couldn't quite shake off the feeling of paranoia that something was still out there. She didn't realize until now that Harper had a gun with her, although it made sense. Alex doesn't carry a gun and never has, although whenever she leaves the community she always makes sure she has her slingshot with her.
By now Alex was starting to feel rather miserable. Soaking wet and paranoid that it was going to come back, she was considering on just heading back to the Barracks. Surely Ariana would have headed back now, unless she was on a mission at another station? It seemed unlikely that Ariana would be out in this rain, unless she had gotten lost or something. Still, it would be easy for Alex and Harper to be out for the rest of the night looking for Ariana and Alex knew if she wasn't back in the Barracks soon, Ben would start a search for her. How did they know Ariana hadn't headed back another way and was already back at the Barracks?

Harper took a deep breath as she looked out Alex. How was she going to explain to Alex that she shot Smokey. She wasn't sure if she should brush it off. She bit her lower lip and started to pace bacn and forth on thinking of her next move. She moved towards a tree and leaned against it and started to talk to herself. The words that she were saying were just whispers. Harper closed her eyes and for a moment and opened her eyes as she smelled something. Harper had the unlicky scent of smelling blood and she took out her flashlight and noticed that her clothes had some blood on the them.
Harper debeated to herself if she should look up. She slowly stepped away from the tree and decided to shin her flashlight up the tree. She saw a motionless redhead in the tree and sighed as she turned the flashlight away and shook her head. She knew it was bond to happen and Smokey had killed Ariana. It was the way of the island. She knew it was the reason why they lured Ariana to the Island. She was suppose to perish. It was what Jacob wanted or that is how Benjamin told her.
Harper sighed, "Well, we can go" she said to Alex as she walked passed her. Harper stopped and waited for Alex. She hoped that Alex wouldn't go see the body. She wondered if she should warn her. She spoke up. "Ariana is dead and I will inform Tom to take her body down." She waited for a response from Alex.
