Emily laughed a little. "That's one option for a name." Then she frowned a little. "Maybe we'll have to look for medical supplies tomorrow. I mean, people surely had some in their bags and we'll need some for the short time we're here." Well, Emily hoped it was a short time, but refused to say that out loud. She didn't quite have faith in rescue teams for reasons she couldn't place. But maybe, if she kept that to herself, everything would turn out fine.

Skinner chuckled and nodded. "We do. I don't see many kids around here, but the basics are the same I suppose," she said, shaking her head and chuckling. She frowned at the mention of a short time on the island, when her pessimistic side didn't believe that to be so.
"Do you really believe we'll be here for a short period of time?" she inquired, her blunt side making its debut. "I mean, call me crazy but I' not that faithful into the rescue squads and coast guard. They probably don't even know this island exists."

"Well," Emily paused, collecting her thoughts into an order that made sense. "I doubt that it'll be 24 hours, or a week for that matter, before they find us. I'd like to think they know this exists, they just don't suspect it's where we crashed...but that could just be wishful thinking." She sighed, laughing a little. "It's probably just wishful thinking to think that we'll get off within a week." That was Emily - the wishful thinker and hopeless romantic.

Skinner chuckled and sighed a bit. "I was never the wishful thinker. Always the realist, sometimes the pessimist."
Skinner shook her head and pulled her jacket closer as the temperature dropped. "But if you prove me wrong, I'll be the first to let you know. And apologize of course." She grinned, her blunt humor showing itself. God, it had been a long time since Skinner had anything to joke about without getting slapped.

Emily smiled. "Well, we've got the realist-pessimist and the dreamer-hopeless romantic covered," she stated. "There can't be too many parts left to fill...and there's bound to be a hero and a villain here." Emily tended to think of things as a play, movie, or show. Everyone had a part or role to play for their lives. Hers was being the dreamer and constantly believed in love. Maybe Emily was like a Disney princess-type character. The believer in true love.

Skinner chuckled at her comments and nodded. "We can have our own soap opera or something."
Skinner cocked her head, thinking. "You know, I find if you imagine yourself a part in a movie or play, you gets distracted easier. Lik...earlier when I stood up to him, I kept imagining I was...don't laugh...Mulan. I dunno why, but I've always loved that movie." Skinner grinned, chuckled at her childish fantasies.

Emily shuddered at the word 'soap opera'. "They play soap operas all the time on the hospital television," she muttered. "Although, I doubt that we'll be finding a pair of incestuous siblings who aren't aware they're siblings or a mother having her son's child or something like that." She hated soap operas. Too much drama...and some of it reminded her of her own life.
Emily smiled. "I personally thought Mulan was one of the better Disney female characters. She could actually defend herself and never entirely fell into the damsel in distress role...except for when she was injured. But, still. She's one of the stronger ones."

Skinner laughed. She used to make fun of soap operas often, enjoying it fervently.
"I loved making fun of soap operas. My girl mates and I would spend some days wating popcorn and laughing at them. True bliss." She grinned, remembering the better times in Sydney.
"And of course. Mulan is amazing. Cinderella got on my nerves. And so did Snow White. The Little Mermaid and Jasmine were alright." Skinner started cracking up and shaking her head, surprised at the tpoic their conversation had turned to. "Can you believe we're actually talking about this?"

Emily laughed. "We've crashed on some island and here we are, discussing Disney female, animated characters. You think we've lost it?" she began to laugh a little harder. Why it was so funny was beyond her. But she kept laughing. Of course, it didn't entirely surprise Emily. She tended to have rather strange conversations. And she agreed that Ariel and Jasmine were also pretty good. Jasmine and Meg were always her favorites.

Skinner started laughing harder with Emily, shaking her head. "We've cracked and it's only the first day. Dear god, what will happpen in the weeks to come? We shall make replicas of the Disney girls on coconuts?" she suggested, grinning and laugh, but wincing slightly as her laughed crushed her ribs close to her, in turn agitating the bruises.

"Imagine by the end of the week," Emily got out in between giggles. "We'll be running around singing Disney songs." She tried to think of one of the songs that would be funny, but only ended up giggling a bit more. "Wow. I haven't laughed like this in a long time," she commented, catching her breath. "It feels good, though."

Skinner laughed. "That shall be quite entertaining if I do say so myself."
She grinned, watching Emily laughed. Skinner laughed hard, her eyes actually tearing up a bit. Honestly, she couldn't remember a time she'd laughed like this since high school. "It does feel good. Nice and refreshing opposed to the tears and frustration I'm normally battling, you know?"

Emily finally stopped, catching her breath. "Yeah," she replied. "It's nice to have something to laugh at for once." While she wasn't quite sure the last time she had laughed this much, she figured it was when Edward was still awake. It was a relief to feel the exhilaration of laughter and happiness again. Maybe it wouldn't be so horrible to be away for another week or so. If it was like this, Emily would possibly even enjoy the extended vacation.

Skinner laughed and nodded. She scrunched her nose, seeing that the sunset had almost completed and she sighed. "So...here are at the end of a sunset on a beach, and we're not even plastered yet. What a shame," she joked, laughing again.
"I wonder if there's a secret rum store on the beach somewhere. You knwo they did that a long time ago," she teased again, shaking her head. Though she probably could go for some good rum. Or Scotch. Or....well anything.

"Yeah, but we need to find a Jack Sparrow-esque person first," Emily pointed out. "There's no fun in being drunk on a beach when you can't recreate the scene from Pirates of the Caribbean." When was the last time she had drank alcohol? Emily began to wonder. Sadly, it was her 21st birthday...three years ago. Although, the idea was sort of sounding good, in a sense. It would be a way to drown out the oddness of the day and whatever pain was there, physical and mental.
