[This is a LOST season 4 roleplay. The plot as been changed just a bit, and takes place Directly after the episode "The Economist"]
RUN FOR COVER, AS FAST AS YOU CAN;
Sometimes, when trying to save a life, a strength is brought out in someone. Beating repeatedly on the reinforced glass of the door that now trapped Charlie Pace in his ever-approaching watery grave, Desmond knew that he should just let it alone, and Charlie knew this too, even as he scribbled 'Not Penny's Boat' down quickly. However, as the water level began to suck any chance of Charlie surviving out of the room, Desmond managed to break that small, circular window, and save his friend. This was a choice Desmond knew he was making; It was Charlie's turn to die, yet... he'd saved him. They made their way back to the beach, but what did it mean for them? Would they have to continue this never-ending game of cheating death?
'OVER AND OUT,' SHE SANG;
This was it. Rescue had come. The freighter hadn't brought the typical heroes, but it had brought hope to those survivors of Oceanic 815.It brought some sort of salvation to those whom desperately wanted to get back to their lives, and forget this god-awful island. Sure, there wasn't much trust, as it was made public that these people were not who they said they were, but there was something to believe in. The message brought by the lovable Charlie Pace was the final issue in the schism of the two groups. Those who had some hope in the people led by the now deceased Naomi and who wished for a normal life had gone with Jack, and those who wanted to live to see another day went with Locke.
The tension and terror of the situation only continued to grow.
The Others had long since abandoned their barracks, but knew that they had a new threat on their hands. Those people on the boat were the end, and with Ben still held captive by Locke's group, There wasn't much for them to do, but wait.
HELP ME, HELP ME, WON'T YOU?
Now, a few days after the people from the freighter have arrived, There's a quiet among them. The constant struggle with the impending doom that is approaching only brought a stillness while Jack's group waited. The chopper suffered horrible damage, and no one is able to get off the island. Charlotte had been traded with Locke's group for Miles, who is after Ben, and Faraday has already taken note that there is something different and wrong about the island. How long will they be able to wait this stillness out?
`arc of TIME.
