There has been an event. A large passenger plane has crash landed on the island. This has obviously caused mass confusion amongst the people, myself included. Jacob had made it clear that no one could find the island without his say.
Something has obviously gone wrong, as things were fine on the island until now. There is no reason for Jacob to allow these outsiders, so something must be wrong. Perhaps the fault is mine. I have perhaps become lackadaisical as the leader of His people.
I have sent that rat Goodwin to check the fuselage for survivors, and Ethan to the tail. They are to report back to me with lists of people in three days. I will bring these to Jacob and Mikhail to get more information, and then Jacob will decide what we should do next.
On the domestic front, Alex has become perturbed with my continued interference in her and Karl's relationship, but I still just don't understand her attraction to the boy. He looks like- I don't even know. He's not good enough for her though. I know that may be an overtly fatherly thing to say, but it still rings true to me.

Recon is ongoing. We made our first round of captures after learning the identities of the tail section survivors, but something more delicate may have t be planned for the fuselage. There are so many of them, after all. Although there is one of particular interest.
I've been seeing a lot more of Claudia O'Keefe, whom I have written about before. (See 17 March 2003, et. al.) She still wears the hat. Also, we kissed. She was hurt by a polar bear too, but the island saw fit to save her. Not that I am upset, but why her and not me? These are questions that need to be asked.
I think the best way to infiltrate the fuselage will be to do it myself. Final details are being worked out on a plan, but I want to meet this Jack myself, see who he is, what makes him tick. I don't want just anyone opening me up, although it seems I may not have much of a choice.
