Ava took the last drops from her small bottle, then shook it angrily. Empty. Khu lapped up the little water droplet that hung in the air, wagging his tail proudly. Small beads of perspiration rolled down her forehead. It was about noon, and the sun was right in the middle of the sky. Ava smiled, and took off the little backpack she had found. Khu looked inside when the zipper opened, and jumped up happily when Ava brought out a soccer ball. He barked, then licked at his cut. She massaged his nose for a bit, smiling. The girl then wanted to get back to the game. Ava dropped the ball, and kicked it around her feet. Khu bounded around like a kitten on catnip. After a few moments, Ava dropped down to the grassy ground, panting. Khu nudged the ball around his nose, and stepped on it, as if waiting for something cool to happen.
The dog's paw slipped to the side, and his ushed it right off the side. Ava groaned. She eyeballed the dog angrily. They could have totally had fun with it! She watched the black and blue shape bounce down the side, then come to a side at a ledge, about twenty feet down. Ava's heart jumped, and she began to climb down. Khu held her forearm in his jaw, holding hard, but not hard enough to where he would hurt her. She brushed him away, then slid down, feeling her lungs shake as she hit the ledge. Ava reached down, grabbed the ball, then stuffed it under her shirt so she wouldn't have to hold it. She grasped the grass that hung low and tight so she could climb back up, and it what seemed like forever, she reached the top. Ava rolled the ball away, and feebly pulled herelf up. Khu licked her face in gratitude.
Ava yanked her head back. Doggy breath! Luckily enough for Ava, she didn't look back once as she slid down, or climbed up. So, now dizziness for the aftershock! Khu opened his mouth as wide as it would go, and held the ball triumpthantly in his mouth. Ava took the ball, and as she was placing it in, she saw a little bottle of water shoved all the way in a ripped section, where it was perfectly hidden from view. She carefully kept watch of it, and decided to save it for later. Ava sighed, then fell backwards into the soft, inviting grass. Khu layed down beside her, and put his two front paws and his head on her stomach. She gazed intently downt he mountain, hoping to see another dog, a person who smelled good(Sorry, Charlie. Hehehe. ^^) and was nice to animals. ava stroked the dog's head lovingly, knowing that there wasn't a moment she wouldn't have lived without Khu.

Aubree was never one for the outdoors. It was dirty and everything smelled bad. Camping was what she imagined hell to be like. The beach wasn't much better. Sand ticked her off. It got everywhere. It was everywhere. Not to mention the fact that her death could be approaching at any second didn't make her anymore chipper. Still her had managed to hold onto some bit of her normal attitude. She did feel useless. It was like all day she sat there, looking at an ocean. While a bunch of tall, bad smelling, people ran in and out of a jungle. Normally returning with some form of cut, or new sob story.
Mostly she sat there looking at an ocean, asking for something to eat, sleeping, looking for any clothes that would fit her, and when boredom over took making sand castles. Which was what she was doing now. She was getting lots of stares from random old people. They thought she should be doing more too. She didn't really care what they thought, she was a kid right? It's her job to make sand castles and knock them over. An eighteen-year-old girl should be maturing, but that didn't sound fun at all.
Bree finished up the castle which wasn't that impressive. It was more a pile of sand with a stick on the top and small holes she made with her finger for windows. Aubree sat behind it, admiring it's beauty. She pulled her legs up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. Her stomach growled again. damn hungry. She tossed her hair and forgot about her lack of food issues. She did her best to pretend she was back at home, maybe on a beach with a bunch of loser freshmen preps laughing around her. Thats what the beaches were like back home. If she closed her eyes she could almost hear them blasting Hillary Duff. She laughed. "Those losers" She said to herself.
Then Young Bree decided that sitting here on the sand that she hated, pretending to be somewhere she hated, doing things that were rather boreing was, well pointless. She looked up at the tall mountain and turned her head to the side, looking at it. Yes there would be bugs, but at least that weren't itchy and didn't stick in between her toes...or she hoped not at least. Bree pulled herself up and went for the walk, it wasn't bad.
She might hate the outdoors but that doesn't mean she minds about getting dirty. Only problem is she isn't in the best shape, but who is these days? She made her way to a clearing and saw, well something she didn't really wanna see at all. It was, in fact, and dog. Bree loved animals, but she hated Butterflies and dogs. She didn't wish them harm they just scared her into a normal pee level. She attempted to back away from the dog and his/hers owner only to trip on a stump and land on her ass. "Great entrance" She hissed to herself, and then started awkwardly at the owner, who was in fact, praying she wouldn't notice.

Khu with his mighty masculinity flew backwards when he heard a sound. Ava furrowed her brow, and ingored the dog. The dog placed his tail between his legs, then went to invetigate. He began to wiggle with excitement when he saw Bree. He could tell by the way she talked that she didn't seem to happy, at least, well... not to him. Khu let out a snort, then haughtily walked the other direction. He raised his tail as high as it would go, then padded the other direction. The brute hopped on a rock, and dangled his paws over the edge. Khu watched closely as she tried to walk away quietly, but then barked, not a threating bark, just a random puppy bark. Ava sat up, then saw Aubree.
She was sort of in a sleepy daze, but seeing a little girl on the island was kind of wierd. It wasn't everyday you would see an 8 year old toughin it out like every other person. She wanted to ask her if she had anyone with her, and why she strayed away so far, but now wasn't a good time for that. Ava noticed she seemed kind of edgy, and Bree gave off the sort of "leave me alone" look. "Hey, uh... where are your..parents?" She didn't want to be rude, nor offend her, but if this child had someone with authority over her, shouldn't she have been staying with that person?
Well, whatever. It's a free country, right? Besides, there were no rules here on this island. So, you could do whatever you wanted without someone telling you right from wrong, just like they did at home. Home. Ava missed home. She wished they would get rescued soon. She was sure that everyone here thought the same thing. I mean, if you crash landed on a deserted island, wouldn't you want to get off their as soon as possible and just leave the stinkin' place? If you didn't want that, psh, you could say with all your lonesome and rot to death. For some people, that would be a step up.
Khu hopped down from his rock, and followed Aubree, hoping for a second glace. He was still a bit tired from the mini soccer game, and his muscles ached from getting all the way up here. But Khu really wanted some comforting. He just natureally craved attention. Ava could tell by the way Bree looked at Khu, maybe she didn't like dogs? "Er.. Khu come. Sit! Staaay. Good boy.Sorry about him, he's a little wierd. I'm Ava." In retrospect, the dog pawed at the air angrily, momentarily catching Ava's attention, but he quikly lost it. Khu hated to be ignored. but ava told him to stay, and so he did. The dog scooted a bit sideways to get a better view, rather than looking from between Ava's legs.

[eh sorry the 8-year-old thing was a typo...she's 18]
Bree stared up at the girl, and blinked. When the dog came over to her she shuffled back a little still laying on her back. Her fear of dogs didn't come without reason. He Grandma used to have tons of dogs, this was back when Bree was only a tiny little first grader. The dogs to her were more like bears, and she bruises easily. Everything she walked in the door one of them would tackle her or jump on her. Seeing large black things pouncing at her was not really fun, and if anything it was just scary. Looking back on it, it seams stupid, but it doesn't stop her fear at all.
'damn' Aubree thought when she noticed that the girl was looking right at her. 'She noticed me.' Bree isn't anti-social, she loves people. As long as they don't have a annoying laugh, and know good music she can be very friendly. And it wasn't that she was avoiding the girl she was avoiding her dog, her large, brown scary dog. Aubree stood up and brushed herself, and smiled. She saw her, Bree would have to be nice. "Back Home." She nodded.
Bree was on her was over to her mother's when they crashed. She didn't really mind being away from school, and homework, and lets face it she hated her mom's house. LA sucks. It's all beaches and parties, and really it's way to noisy. If Aubree had her way she's live in the country, with horses, and pigs. The nearest town would be 10 miles away. Thats her heaven.
Aubree zoned back into the conversation, or lack of one. A strange silence and fallen between them. She took this time to observe the chick. She looked like one of those models you see in Seventeen, or Elle, or whatever. Not that thats a bad thing, just Bree wondered how she kept her hair like that on this island.
The dog moved and Bree felt a need to take some more steps back. The Brunette kept control of her little demon. Aubree sighed in relief. That was another thing that annoyed her about dogs, they are so needy. Always barking, and wanting to be petted. It's annoying. Bree liked cats, they did there own thing and shut-up about the rest. However she didn't have a dog, or a cat. About a year ago her farther bought her a Potbellied Pig named Felix. He was pretty much her best friend now. "All dogs are." She said keeping an eye on him. "I'm Aubree, or Bree." She paused. "Whichever one."
