OCEANIC FLIGHT MISSING
Communications lost just a few hours in, crew not heard from since, Oceanic rep says.
"The story that's puzzling citizens and Oceanic Airlines management alike: what happened to Flight 815? It was scheduled on a routine flight today, leaving the airport in Sydney and headed for Los Angeles, in the United States. So why is everyone so concerned? Here's Connie, live from the airport."
"Thanks Hannah. I'm here at Australia's premier airport. As you can see around me, there's a great deal of activity going on here behind me."
Multiple reporters, cameras, and microphones are visible in the lobby of the airport, where the president of Oceanic Airlines was being interviewed.
"The question on everyone's mind, is, where IS Flight 815? Well, no one knows for certain. The story as we've been able to uncover thus far, is as follows: roughly a few hours into the flight to LA, flight assistants here at the airport reportedly lost radio contact with Flight 815. It was assumed at that time that nothing was wrong with the plane or the flight. No incidences had been reported up until the loss of contact. Now after that, details get a little hazy. As of yet, it seems Oceanic is unable to ascertain exactly where the flight is. It has yet to land at its destination, or at any airport. A national notification has been put out to keep an eye out for the plane, but so far, no reports have come in."
"What a bizarre situation, Connie. I just can't believe something like a plane could just disappear! Have there been any efforts to use satellites to locate the plane?"
"Actually, yes, Hannah. Those searches also yielded no results. The plane hasn't been reported from any air zones, nor has it been spotted via satellite. Right now, everyone is just completely baffled. The president of Oceanic released a statement earlier today. Quote, "We are doing all we can to locate the missing flight. So far there is no indication that the plane or its passengers have come to any time. Our hearts go out to the family members of those on board at this time, and we are doing all within our power to speed this process of location and return everyone home."
"Thank you Connie. When we come back, more on the inspiring story of the dog who saved his owner's life in a local fire today. Plus, we'll keep you updated on the flight 815 story."
