In the city of Seattle, Washington 1935 a man named Alexander Sutherland started an arts school. He originally named it Sutherland School of the Arts or as the students called it SSA. Five years later the name was changed to Seattle University of the Arts or SUA. SUA is a post-secondary school for the arts and help young people on their way to be experts in whatever their art happens to be. There are two art departments at SUA, the Visual Arts Department and the Performing Arts Department. SUA prides itself in the fact that they have the best teachers for every course.
