Chris approached the caves. Someone had given him directions onhow to reach them and he'd managed to find his way. They were dark and cool and rather cozy. He considered keeping his things here and sleeping here at night. But no one seemed to be following pursuit on that just yet. He'd bene able to get ahold of an empty water bottle and proceeded to fill it up with the fresh water. He had been gettign settled very quickly here. He was still getting stared at. And he still had to visit this Jack fellow for his head injury. It really wasn't too bad, just a cut that would eventually heal. But for some reason he felt like this Jack guy was the leader and needed to know everyone who'd survived.
Right now Chris could not give a crap about that. He sat down alone with his water bottle. He pulled out his bag and looked inside. He still had his mothers picture with a note on the back "I love you and you mean more to me than the entire universe...love,mom" He kissed hte picture of him and his mom missing her teribly. He dug out the other picture and saw it of him and mitchell. He hated the man with a deep passion now. He tore the picture up and through it in the jungle somewhere wet where it would dissolve.
He sat alone. It felt just like home...being a lone. He didn't mind it all that much usually. But he felt like if he was stuck on this island for a while. He should at least try to make new friends. Plus no one knew his past. He could start a new...be anyone he wanted to be.

Skinner sighed, taking a walk through the forest. She'd been hiking for around an hour, against the advice of Jack. She sighed. She knew that he care,d but sometimes all the caring was daunting on her, causing her head to become overwhelmed. But of course it was a strange feeling, having a male care for you after that year of pure hell for her. She swallowed, pulling her water bottle out before heading into the cave. She leaned down to fill it up, the cross tatto on her lower back making itself known, not like she cared these days. Erik had hated the thing, said it was too religious for him. Well screw him now.
Skinner took a sip, looking around the cave, but jumping when she say the man in the cave with her. "Sh*T!" she shouted, contemplating running and screaming, all at the same time. She hated being alone with men now, especially in places where there was no place to run, no place to hide. She unconsciously drifted a hand to her still flat stomach, feeling a new protective thought process run through her mind. "Who are you?"

Chris hadn't realized how quiet he'd been. He sat in the cave aloen and saw a girl come on and lean over to fill her water bottle. He spotted the cross tattoo and smirked wonderign if it represented something for her personally, or if she was just really religious. He guess it was the first one. He looked at her an smiled. She was very pretty. When she turend she shrieked and began to back away. He looked at her. "I'm sorry I, I didn't mean to scare you" he said. "I'm Chris" he said to her. "He figured that would be fine enough explanation. Of course everyone from this island was from teh carash. Least that's what he thought. He looked at her "I'm sorry" he said. "I didn't mean to startle you" he said. He stood up and didn't know what to say next.
(sorry for it so short)

Skinner's heart rate returned to halfway normal while she relaxed as much as her tense body would allow and nodded, taking the hand form her stomach to distract herself in twisting the cap back on the water bottle. Skinner swallowed, putting the bottle back in her pack and gathering her voice and nerves. "I'm Skinner. And it's alright. I just...didn't think anyone would be up here."
She peered at the man, who was very attractive to say the least. And had a slightly...pretty air about him. It was slightly unnerving, but she brushed off the feelings. "But dear God, you scared me. What are you doing up here anyhow?" she asked, peering at him curiously.

He looked at the girl. She was very pretty. He smiled at her and watched her touch her stomach a lot. Could she be pregnant? He wondered and soon looked back to her stunning eyes. "Nice to meet you" he said wiht a warm smile. "I, I was just getting some water, someone told me there was a spring out here so I decided to check it out, then I noticed how nice it was in here and was just relaxing I guess." he said. "I was in the jungle lost until yesterday. I have no idea how long I was out there...how long has it been since we crashed?" he asked hoping she would know.
"And I guess I'm supoosed to go talk to this Jack fellow about my cut and being here..." he said hoping she would be able to tell him who Jack was. He bent over to grab his bag and his jeans slid down a little. He was thin and tall. His jeans fit nicely but still seemed a little loose, this was the same for his 3/4 sleeve baseball shirt.

Skinner tilted her head, nodding a bit. She felt more at ease a bit, but not completely, and she moved to sit on a rock, nonchalantly placing her further from him. She swalloed and smiled a bit. "I see. Well it is a nice place up here. Honestly I jsut wanted to come up here and think," she trailed off, looking out of the cave. "Oh but no matter. You've got a cut you say? I could look at it. I'm a pediatrician, but I'm sure I can work on a cut."
She chuckled softly, grinning at him a bit. She caught him noticing her touch her stomach and cringed mentally. What must he be thinking? The truth probably. She sighed to herself mentally, trying to grasp her head around the concept she'd been trying to avoid. "And it's been a week since the crash," she added, remembering his query

He was surprised...only a week? It felt soo much longer. He'd only been lost in the jungle for a week. He looked at her acting so uncomfortable. He wondered if she knew him or something or knew his deep dark secrets. FOr some reason he felt she did. Althought that was impossible. He'd never met this girl in his entire life, how could she possibly know. He came closer slowly to show the cut. He lifted his soft dark curls to reveal the large cut on his forhead that had dry blood around it. He hoped it didn't gross her out. Although she was a doctor really.
He looked at her "can I ask you something..." he said but did not wait for her answer "why are you so nervous around me? I mean I don't mean to be rude but...I keep getting stared at and you just seem a little unomfortable" he said

Skinner looked at the cut, pulling back the dark sweeps of hair as well. She reached in her pack, finding her first aid kit. She retrieved some gauze, a needle and surgical thread. She cleaned the cut with an alcohol pad and dabbed extra blood away, making quick work of the cut. "What it. This might hurt a bit," she warned, and then began tugging stitches into it. She swallowed, hearing his quesiton but biting her lip lightly.
"Nervous..." she repeated with a small laugh and grin. "It's not you really. It's...sort of all men. And that's a long story." She said, concentrating fully on the stitches and hoping to achieve passing off the uncomfortability as nonchalantly as one qould pass off a paper cut.

He winced from the alcohol and sat down on a nearby rock to make it easier. He had squatted down a little since he was taller than her. But his head began to feel a lot of pain. She she began to stitch him up he gripped the rock tightly. He looked at her as she stitched him up. He looked at her curiously. He didn't feel like pressing further with that. He figured he shouldnt make her any more uncomfortable" he said "Sorry...I mean for being a guy" he said laughing. "Ughhh" he said groanign from the pain.

Skinner tied a knot and chuckled slightly, pressing the gauze lightly to the cut and mopping the excess blood and alcohol. She took his hand and placed it over the gauze, letting him hold it. She honestly didn't feel as up tight around him now, but still felt that twinge in her ribs and her face, everytime she touched a guy even in the friendliest manners.
"It's...it's not you. I promise." She tilted her head, leaning back against the rock she originally sat upon. She chewed her lip, almost contemplating telling him her story, almost thinking he'd understand more than the others, but then her instincts kicked in.

He felt her delicate hands touch his and put it at the guaze. He looked at her with a smile and nodded "Thanks...for fixin me up" he said. He looked at her seeing her relax a little. He looked at her then down at the ground. He saw he almost say somehtign but stop. "It's okay you don't have to tell me anything, you have your reasons...its fine" he said to him. He looked at her with a smile "SO can i ask where your from? Or is that too personal?" he asked. He had to think about what to ask. "How bout...what kinda music do ya like?" he said wiht a smile.

Skinner tilted her head at him, and chuckled. "That's not too personal. I'm from LA but I lived in Sydney since I graduated high school. You know, study abroad and such. I loved it so much I stayed." And now I'm leaving, she thought. Loads of sense. She reached for her pack, rubbing the needle with an alcohol pad, and then placing it in a baggie. "And don't mention it about fixin you up. No worries."
She offered a smile, pursing her lips a little crookedly with it. "I like all kinds of music actually. Even classical." She laughed and looked down, then back to him. "I know. I'm a freak."

He laughed "your not a freak. Classical is great...I listen to just about everything too" he said to her with a smile. He looked at her with a smile. "Studying abroad. Wow thats cool" he said. He never got the chance to go to college. He couldn't afford it and didn't try hard enough in school. Even going to the community college nearby didn't interest him. Instead he worked as a janitor for the local high school. He got judgemental stares from staff and teachers who had seen him walk the halls just a couple years earlier.
He went to grab his small back pack. "Well, I'll leave you to your peace then. It was so nice to meet you" he said realizing she'd said she wanted alone time to clear her head or think" he said. He looked at her and gave a smile. He had an adoreable smile and a cute face.

Skinner looked up at him and sighed softly, chewing her lip. Part of her wanted him to leave, but another louder part didn't want to be alone right now. She sighed softly, keeping her emotions still locked tight, but looked up at Chris. "Don't...don't go. I really don't mind," she said softly.
She looked at him and tilted her head, chewing on her lip again. "I know this won't make much sense but i just...don't really want to be alone right now. I mean, sometimes...." she stopped, laughing once and sighing. "I'm not making any sense am I? Sh*t. Forget it. I guess i'll just see you around, then." She flet her face blush somewhat, a new thing for her, but didn't looked back up at him. She settled against the rock, just leaning back, waiting to hear his footsteps exit the cave.

He looked at her seeng her get all bent out of shape. He looked at her. "I'll stay if you want, I understand. Being alone isn't always the best feeling" he said sitting down by her and put his arm around her but soon removed it remembereing how she cringed. He sat there his hands resting on his knees. He looked at her with a smirk.
He looked at her. "I---I don't mean to pry, but are you okay?" he asked. "I mean I'm wlling to sit here with you. But I feel like I'm doing more harm then good by sitting here" he said. "I don't want to hurt your feelings or anything" he said.
